Longmont City Council meetings canceled for coming two weeks

Jun. 11—Longmont City Council has canceled the weekly meetings that otherwise would have been held this coming Tuesday night and on June 22.

The Council is scheduled to resume meeting Jun 29. That's the night the council, whose members have been participating in their weekly Tuesday night meetings remotely for more than a year because of COVID-19, is tentatively expected to return to the Council Chambers in the Civic Center building to meet in person.

June 29 is also expected to be the first opportunity since March 2020 for members of the public to show up at 350 Kimbark St. to watch a Council meeting in person and to walk to the Council Chambers lectern to make comments, if they wish, rather than commenting via telephone call.
