Longmont police investigate vehicle arson

Feb. 7—Longmont police are investigating after a vehicle fire in January was determined to be arson.

According to a Facebook post, Longmont police and fire crews responded to a vehicle on fire in the parking lot of 1050 16th Ave. at 4:13 a.m. Jan. 11. The vehicle was engulfed in flames by the time crews arrived, and the incident is being investigated as an arson case.

The vehicle, a gray 2020 Nissan Rogue, was owned by Enterprise Rent-A-Car and had an Iowa license plate of LRS767.

Investigators are looking for any witnesses or video surveillance regarding the incident. Anyone with information is asked to call 303-774-3700 or email fire_investigation_team@longmontcolorado.gov and reference case No. 23-320.
