Longtime season ticket holder celebrated as Braves’ one millionth fan this season
It’s been less than a month since Opening Day and 1,000,000 fans have already made their way to Truist Park.
Just 27 days into the season, Gary Royal got quite the surprise when he crossed through the gates of Truist Park Saturday afternoon.

Royal has been a season ticket holder since 1996.
“It was a complete surprise. I really didn’t know what to do or what I was walking into. But I’ve been a braves fan a long time and this is pretty cool,” Royal told Channel 2 Action News.

To celebrate being the one millionth fan, Royal got a long list of prizes, including a major ticket upgrade to the DeltaSKY360Club, a one night stay at Omni Hotel at The Battery Atlanta, a personalized ONE MILLION commemorative jersey and a retail swag bag of World Champion Braves items.
Royal also got to shout “Play Ball” before today’s game.
