Here’s a look at 8 metro-east softball games in southwestern Illinois from Tuesday

The metro-east softball season continued with several games this week.

Here is a quick view of some of the outcomes.

Belleville West 23, Granite City 9

The Maroons rolled past the Warriors by 14 tallies.

Belleville West improved to 4-3. Granite City fell to 1-7.

Olivia Anderson led the way with four hits and five RBI for the Maroons. Emma Pees earned the win.

Look ahead: Belleville West host Edwardsville at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, April 6. Granite City visits Belleville East at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, April 6.

Edwardsville 16, Alton 2

The Tigers rolled past the Redbirds with a 14-run verdict.

Edwardsville improves to 7-1 overall and 2-0 in the Southwestern Conference. Alton fell to 1-4, 0-2.

Jilian Hawkes led Edwarsdville with four hits and five RBI. Alaina Laslie and Grace Presley led Alton with one hit and one RBI each.

Riley Nelson pitched five innings with 10 strikeouts for the victory.

Belleville East 11, O’Fallon 10

The Lancers got by the Panthers with a one-run win.

Belleville East improved to 7-2-1 overall and 3-0 in the Southwestern Conference. O’Fallon fell to 1-5, 0-2.

Maya Hathaway led the Lancers with three hits and two RBI. Ava Hamilton chipped in two hits and three RBI.

Ashlynn Samson earned the win.

Plainfield 7, Highland 0

Plainfield rolled past the Bulldogs, who fell to 1-4-1.

Karli Dant had two hits for the Bulldogs.

Mater Dei 7, Triad 3

Mater Dei eased past Triad with a four-run victory.

Mater Dei improved to 9-0. Triad fell to 3-4.

Maddy Huels and Julia Korte led Mater Dei with three hits and two RBI. Four Triad players had at least two hits.

Audrey Clark pitched seven innings, recording six strikeoutsn for the win.

Breese Central 6, Columbia 5

The Cougars got a one-run victory over the Eagles.

Breese Central improved to 4-5 overall and 1-2 in the Mississippi Division of the Cahokia Conference. Columbia fell to 4-3, 1-2.

Alyse Monken led Breese Central with two hits and one RBI. Karsen Jany led Columbia with two hits and one RBI.

Monken fired a complete game to earn the win.

Freeburg 7, Salem 2

The Midgets rolled past the Wildcast in a five-run victory.

Freeburg improved to 11-1 overall and 3-0 in the Mississippi Division of the Cahokia Conference. Salem fell to 3-1, 0-1.

Collinsville 16, East St. Louis 0

The Kahoks blew by the Flyers with a 16-run win.

Collinsville improved to 1-8 overall and 1-2 in the Southwestern Conference. East St. Louis fell to 0-2 (both overall and in the SWC).

Addie Stone led Collinsville with three hits and three RBI. Marissa Thomas earned the win while posting five strikeouts.
