A look at The Balconies at Davis Wade Stadium ahead of Mississippi State football's opener

STARKVILLE — Davis Wade Stadium is ready for Mississippi State football’s opener Saturday night against Memphis.

It was an offseason filled with hard hats and construction vests at the stadium — primarily on the west side where The Balconies at Davis Wade Stadium were installed. The new premium seating area in the corners of the upper deck, which was sold out by July 1, brings the experience from the Dudy Noble Field outfield to DWS.

Fans who reserved pods could check them out during MSU’s open scrimmage on Aug. 20. Last Saturday, they were permitted to return and move in belongings such as coolers and chairs.

Summer renovations at Davis Wade Stadium included new panels for both end zone video boards. It also included installation of a ribbon board. Video board installments and renovations totaled $10.5 million.
