As of May, 743 homes have been sold in the city, according to RedFin. The ocean-view rental has an extensive history, with the property being listed for sale in 2018 for $899,900. The home surrounded by palm trees contains cherry hardwood floors, a massive walk-in closet — at 11 by 15 feet — a built-in entertainment system and a laundry room with a lake view.

The home was custom-built and first sold in 2004 for just $315,000. After seven years of love, a listing was posted for $949,000. In 2013, the home sold for $810,000.

Just down the road from the No. 5 home on this list, sits another ocean-view vacation rental. The whopping 14-bedroom, 10-bathroom house has been sold many times since it was built in 2002. Within its first year, the home sold for $942,450, which was a 277% increase from the home’s first selling price of $250,000.

The Jan. 5 purchase was the first time the home sold for over $1 million.

While the home’s online listing doesn’t contain images of inside the home, the outside resembles many of the oceanfront rentals lining Ocean Boulevard — raised foundation, multiple floors with balconies, plenty of room for cars to park and sliding doors with sky blue borders.

The home is nicknamed “Captain’s Palace,” and is being rented out by Elliot Realty Luxury Rentals.

This home too has been sold and resold, with the initial price in 2005 being $525,000. The home was most recently purchased on May 23.

The inside of this home is bright, with light gray walls, sky blue accents and neutral decorations. There is a saltwater pool that can either be heated or cooled, as well as solar panels that dictate most of the home’s electricity.

It’s no surprise the most expensive entry on the list is an oceanfront rental home, as oceanfront properties tend to cost more than their ocean view or inland counterparts due to the appeal of being right on the water.

This eight-bedroom-four-bathroom home sold on Feb. 27. The property first sold in 2018 for $393,250 and then sold this year at a 739.2% increase in price.

While the online listing doesn’t contain photos of the inside nor a detailed description of the amenities and features, the listing does describe the home as a single family home. Elliot Realty Luxury Rentals is currently renting out this home.
