Martin Luther King Jr. Day is a federal holiday celebrated Jan. 15 and some local offices are closed. Here is a look at some of the places that will be closed and others that will be open.

Offices closed on MLK Jr. Day

  • Carlsbad City Hall

  • Village of loving offices

  • Eddy County offices

Eddy County Sheriff’s deputies and Eddy County Fire and Rescue are on duty and Eddy County Public Works Department has road crews on call, according to a news release.

Carlsbad Schools closed

Carlsbad Municipal Schools will close on Jan. 15. Schools will resume regular scheduled classes on Tuesday, Jan. 16.

  • Loving Municipal Schools

  • Carlsbad Caverns National Park

  • Guadalupe Mountains National
