Looking for a COVID-19 vaccine? Need a booster? Here's where you can find them in the Coachella Valley

·4 min read

With news of the COVID-19 omicron variant spreading across the world, local health officials are pushing vaccination more than ever.

The Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine is available for people ages 12 and older, and a pediatric vaccine is available for children ages 5 to 11. It is one-third of the adult dose. The Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines are available to those 18 and older.

Booster shots are recommended for adults ages 18 and older who received their Pfizer or Moderna series at least six months ago, or their Johnson & Johnson shot at least two months ago. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said it is OK to mix-and-match a booster shot.

COVID-19 vaccines are available for everyone ages 5 years and older at no cost, regardless of insurance or immigration status, the CDC states.

Here is a roundup of locations where Coachella Valley residents can receive their initial, pediatric, booster or extra doses.
