Enjoy a New England Lobster Roll on buttered brioche with hand-cut fries and slaw ($32). Finish the night off with Coffee Creme Brulée, which has fresh berries and mint ($9).

Pier 52

Enjoy your dinner with panoramic views of Mount Hope Bay at Pier 52. To accompany the views enjoy the Crab Rangoon Nachos with jumbo lump crab, cheddar, charred bell pepper, wonton chips, chives, toasted sesame, and sweet chili ($17). A great summer dish is the Banh Mi Tacos on a flour tortilla with hoisin pork, kewpie, pickled broccoli slaw, jalapeno, and radish ($16). You can't go wrong with ending the night with a Waffle Churro Sundae, with buttermilk waffle, vanilla ice cream, Dulce De Leche, and cinnamon.

Merrill's on the Waterfront

Merrill's is a harbor-front restaurant that provides a front-row seat of the country's most valuable fishing port. The experience would be complete without Lobster Quesadillas that have cheddar jack, red onion, corn salsa, and a citrus aioli ($14). Then dig into the Statler Chicken which is herb-marinated, grilled bone-in chicken breast, on a bed of braised kale, with fried sweet potato chips and yellow pepper coulis ($24). To top off the night a Limoncello Cake ($7) will do the trick.

Right on the West Island Marina is Off the Hook Bar & Grill with stunning ocean views. A great start is the Summer Strawberry Salad with spinach, strawberries, goat cheese, red onion, almonds, and a poppy seed dressing ($14). Next, try the Triple Threat Tacos — one fish taco with slaw and spicy mayo, one scallop taco with slaw and mango salsa and one shrimp taco with slaw, corn, and black bean salsa ($22).

Boat House Waterfront Dining

Overlooking the Mount Hope Bay is the Boat House Waterfront Dining with sailboat watching and sunset viewing. Try something new with Asparagus Toast — a deviled egg mousse, pea greens, shallots, and grana padano on a  toasted baguette ($16). For an entree get Char Grilled Salmon with chickpea hash: summer vegetables, red pepper romesco, and olive relish ($29). Complete the meal with Grapenut Creme Brulee which has seasonal berries ($11).

The Cove Restaurant

The Cove Restaurant overlooks Mount Hope Bay and the Battleship Massachusetts with large windows that showcase the view. Portuguese Steak Flat Bread is a great starter to any meal, with marinated steak, pickled peppers, cheese, and a Portuguese gravy ($18). Follow it with Linguini and Clams: eight little necks, fresh chopped clams, parsley, garlic, and clam broth with a white or red sauce ($27).

Fathoms Waterfront Bar & Grille

Enjoy Fathom's waterfront deck overlooking all of the harbor's commercial fishing action. Crab & Artichoke Dip is a great appetizer to try with crabmeat, artichokes, sour cream, and garlic served with toasted crostinis ($13). Haddock Mozambique will hit the spot with fresh scrod, linguica, and onions simmered in a spicy Portuguese sauce, served over rice ($22).

The Sail Loft

Enjoy a meal with a picturesque view of the Padanaram Harbor at The Sail Loft. Tuna Tostada will brighten your night with salsa verde, escabeche, cilantro, and avocado ($15). Linger over drinks and the Grilled Heritage Pork Chop which is locally raised, spice-rubbed, with roasted cauliflower, crispy fingerlings, and grilled pineapple ($28).

The Tipsy Seagull

Located on the Westport River where they oyster farm their own oysters is Westport Sea Farms. You obviously have to try a Flight with one Riptide, Taber Point, Spindrift, and  Beach Plum Oyster served with mignonette, rice wine cucumber, and lemon ($11). A Lobster Salad would be a smart entree choice, a garden salad with oil and vinegar dressing on the side topped with lobster dressed in lemon chive mayo ($33).

LePage's Seafood & Grille

Get your seafood fix with a view of the Watuppa Pond at LePage's. Create a stunning by starting with Steamed Mussels in white wine with garlic ($12). Then dig into a Clam Boil with fresh Maine steamers, hot dogs, sausages, chourico, potato and onion (market). Top it all off with Peanut Butter Pie ($7).

Whale's Tail

Located on Pier 3, Whale's Tail is as close to the fish as it gets. Right on the water, you have to go with Clam Cakes and Chowder — half-dozen clam cakes and a bowl of chowder ($14.95). Once that's done get the Fishermen’s Platter which is good for sharing and has scallops, whole belly clams, shrimp, and lightly breaded, or battered cod ($34.95). Key Lime Pie ($6.95) with end the delicious journey.
