NEW HANOVER

Egg hunt, Harbor United Methodist Church

A community invited egg hunt, with pictures with the Easter Bunny, and free hot dogs will be held at Harbor United Methodist Church beginning at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 1. The church is located at 4853 Masonboro Loop Road, Wilmington.

Easter egg hunt, Covenant Moravian Church

Covenant Moravian Church and Water of Life Lutheran, located at 4126 S. College Road, Wilmington, will hold an Easter egg hunt on Palm Sunday, April 2. The egg hunt will be held 1-3 p.m. and will be divided into age groups: 0-3, 4-7, and 8-12. There will be crafts and snacks. Please bring your own basket.

Easter egg hunt, Wrightsville Beach

Wrightsville Beach Parks & Recreation invites the public to grab their Easter egg basket and camera and join Wrightsville Beach as its welcomes the Easter Bunny. The egg hunt will be divided into age groups, with special prizes for those who find the golden eggs. Mr. & Mrs. E. Bunny will be available for pictures. The event for kids 10 and under will begin at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, April 1 at Wrightsville Beach Park, 321 Causeway Drive.

Cool Beans Wilmington will be on site offering coffee (hot or cold), other beverages, as well as mini cakes and treats.

Easter egg hunt, Pine Valley Baptist Church

The Pine Valley Baptist Church will hold its free Easter egg hunt from 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, April 8. Throughout the day, there will be games, giveaways, crafts, inflatables, and more activities for the whole family.

The egg hunt will be held every 15 minutes for ages 12 and younger from 10:45-11:45 a.m. Bring a bag or basket.

A&M's Red Food Truck and Chocolate and S'more will be selling food.

'Eggstravaganza' egg hunt, Masonboro Baptist Church

Masonboro Baptist Church, located at 1501 Beasley Road in Wilmington, invites the public to join them for their Easter “Eggstravaganza” egg hunt, 10 a.m.-noon Saturday, April 8. There will be crafts, face painting and games.

The eggs will be stuffed with nut-free, non-chocolate candies.

Family Easter egg hunt, Ogden Park

The Ogden Baptist Church invites the public to join in the free family egg hunt at Ogden Park, 1:30-3:30 p.m. Saturday, April 8.

At the Ogden Park football field, there will be food, games and egg hunts. Egg hunts begin at 2 p.m.

Easter egg hunt, Grace Baptist Church

Grace Baptist Church invites family and friends to the Grace Kids community event's Easter egg hunt. The hunt is for kids up to the fifth grade, 10-11 a.m. Saturday, April 8. There will be more than 10,000 eggs to collect.

The church is located at 1401 N. College Road, Wilmington.

Beach Community Church presents its annual Easter egg “eggstravaganza” 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, April 8 at 5 N. Fourth St., Carolina Beach.

Doggie Easter egg hunt and art market

Zoë Royal will be hosting an event that highlights two of her favorite things, dogs and arts. A Doggie Easter egg hunt and art market will be held noon-6 p.m. Saturday, April 8 at the Barzarre - Beer, Spirits, Tacos, Hookah & Music, 1610 Castle St, Wilmington. The event will be an interactive event for the humans and the dogs, with enough activities to keep you occupied for hours.

Easter eggs will be scattered throughout, each one containing a treat and a raffle ticket. Some special golden eggs will have coupons for the local vendors and multiple raffle ticket. Your furry friend can help, by sniffing out the eggs on the ground, while you search high.

The Barzarre will be serving up booze, tacos, and kombucha. Vendors will be serving tasty snacks for dogs.

Easter egg hunt, Grace United Methodist Church

Come and join Grace United Methodist Church, 4-6 p.m. Sunday, April 2, for its Easter event. There will be an egg hunt, games, music, pizza, and more.

Anyone wishing to donate candy, there will be a basket for candy donation located in the welcome center.

There will be separate rooms set up for egg hunting based on different age groups. The egg hunt will be for ages up to 11 years old.

The church is located in downtown Wilmington at 401 Grace St.

BRUNSWICK

Egg hop at Leland Cultural Arts Center

An egg hop will be held, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday April 1 at the Leland Cultural Arts Center, located at 1212 Magnolia Village Way. The egg hop is replacing the egg hunt, due to potential for inclement weather, which was scheduled to be held at the Northwest District Park.

Families can stop by the center to receive a basket full of eggs. Make sure to bring your baskets and sortthrough all eggs before you leave to see if you won a prize. To receive your prize, you must open the eggwhile at the center and show staff.

If you’re not able to attend Saturday, eggs will continue being distributed at the center through Thursday, April 6 until they are all gone.

Spring celebration at Windsor Park, Leland

Windsor Park Social Committee will hold its annual spring celebration, 1-3 p.m. Saturday, April 1 in its sports field. There will be egg hunts for ages 2-5 at 1:30 p.m.; ages 6-9 at 2 p.m.; and ages 10-13 at 2:30 p.m.

Participants can take photos with the Easter Bunny. and can enjoy Sunset Slush. There also will be prizes for each winner,

Windsor Park is located on Enterprise Drive, northeast, off U.S. 74/76 in Leland.

Sensory Saturday: Underwater Egg Hunt

The North Carolina Maritime Museum at Southport will be holding a Sensory Saturday program, 10 a.m.-noon, April 1. Visitors will have the opportunity to decorate their own maritime-themed Easter egg and participate in a special Easter Egg-themed scavenger hunt accessible and fun for all ages and abilities. Museum volunteers will be on hand to assist as needed. The program is free (donations are appreciated) and open to the public. The museum is located at 204 E. Moore St., Southport.

Easter egg hunt, Belville Riverwalk Park

Belville Parks and Recreation Board will be hosting its third annual Easter egg hunt on Saturday, April 1 at the Belville Riverwalk Park, 580 River Road. The hunt is for Belville residents only.

The hunt will start at 9 a.m. The Easter Bunny will be on site and pictures will be taken by EZ Wireless at no charge. No dogs allowed.

Participants must be between the ages of 2-12. A parent or guardian will be allowed with their young child.

Prizes for age groups: 2-4, 5-7 and 8-12.

Southport Easter egg hunt

The city of Southport's annual Easter egg hunt will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 1. The free hunt will be held at 10 a.m. for ages 5-12 at Franklin Square Park, located at 130 E West St. Immediately following will be the hunt for ages 4 and under on the Garrison lawn at 203 E Bay St. in Southport.

There will be over 1,000 eggs and candy combined, including golden eggs for special prizes.

Easter egg hunt, Oak Island

First Baptist Church of Oak Island invites everyone to join them for their annual Easter egg hunt to be held 10 a.m.-noon Saturday, April 8 at 4608 E. Oak Island Drive, Oak Island. There will be a light brunch, Easter crafts, fun and games, lots of eggs and telling of the story of Easter.

Oak Island Parks and Recreation Department will host its annual Easter egg hunt, 10 a.m. Saturday, April 1 at the Bill Smith Park, 4446 Fish Factory Road, S.E., Southport. The event is for children up to 10 years old. The hunts will be broken down by age group and there are plenty of eggs to go around.

'Eggs-Pedition' egg hunt

Pender County Parks and Recreation will be holding an "Eggs-Pedition" egg hunt through Wednesday, April 5 at Abbey Nature Preserve, 10238 U.S. 17, Wilmington.

This is a free self-guided egg hunt. Participants can take a walk around the trail and see how many eggs they can find. Eggs will be hidden throughout the entire preserve. All eggs will be visible, so please stay on the path and don't disturb the eggs.

There will be a drawing for one child and one adult who will be randomly selected on Thursday, April 6 for a prize.

Easter egg hunt, Surf City

The Surf City Parks, Recreation & Tourism invites children to enjoy a free Easter egg hunt beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 8.

Children will be divided into six different age groups, searching for eggs at three different times. Please bring your own basket.

Children 4 and under will hunt at 10:30 a.m., ages 5-6 at 10:45 a.m., and ages 7-12 at 11 a.m.

The event will be at the Surf City Community Center athletic fields, located at 201 Community Center Drive.
