In one of Jacksonville's very last postponed-from-2020 concerts, Rod Stewart will take the stage at Daily's Place at 7:30 p.m. Friday. Tickets are $63-$458.50. It's one of several big shows in the area this weekend. The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band is at the Thrasher-Horne Center at 8 p.m. Friday (39-$89), Dispatch and O.A.R. are at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre at 7 p.m. Sunday ($26-$96) and OneRepublic and Needtobreathe team up at Daily's Place at 7 p.m. Sunday ($31-$155).

Bill "The Sauce Boss" Wharton, who cooks gumbo while playing the blues, is at the Mudville Music Room at 8 p.m. Friday ($15). '80s tribute act Guardians of the Jukebox will bring parachute pants back into style at 8 p.m. Friday at Jack Rabbits ($10). Medal Militia, a Jacksonville-based Metallica tribute band founded by veterans, plays Saturday night at Underbelly ($17).

It's the last weekend for Summer at the Cummer, the summerlong Friday night event in the riverfront gardens behind the Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens. Admission to the museum is free from 4-9 p.m. and they'll have games in the gardens, food and beverage for sale and live music from Jesabel and Bronero.
