Fresh off their collaboration with Kentucky Fried Chicken, Shady Rays has set their sights on golfers with a new line of sports eyewear, the company announced July 14.

The new Green Wolf line gives golfers "enhanced contrast on the course by providing the right level of polarization to reduce glare from the water, bunkers, and grass and provide overall readability and perspective," a release from the company stated.

The line offers three frame styles — Ace, Guardian, and Scout ― which have their own style and features, but they all come with adjustable nose pads and "strong, but flexible TR90 material," according to the release.

Shady Rays' CEO and founder Chris Ratterman said the line came to be because many of their customers are golfers.

“We’re doing what no other brand has done, and that’s develop a line of performance eyewear dedicated to golfers,” Ratterman told The Courier Journal.

Ratterman said the launch of the glasses does not have to do with the PGA Championship taking place in Vallahalla Golf Club next year, although he would like a collaboration in the future.

The Simpsonville-based company has sold "adventure lifestyle" sunglasses, including snow goggles, prescription sunglasses and their best-selling wood timber sunglasses, since 2012.

The glasses will retail for $124, the company said, and come with lifetime protection against breakage.
