Honorable Mention: Roaring '20s New Year's Eve at Slate in the Founders Tower

Location: 5900 Mosteller Drive

That's right, you read that correctly. The space that formerly housed the 3Sixty restaurant atop Founder's Tower has new ownership. The new venture is described as a "premium event venue," with a "chef curated custom menu for your specific event." Management confirmed Tuesday there are no current plans to revive it as a full-service restaurant.

So while you won't find a full meal at Slate on New Year's Eve, the party is a chance to get a first look at the space's new design. There will be complimentary champagne, live music and craft cocktails. Tickets for an upgraded VIP hour with passed hors d'oeuvres beginning at 8 p.m. are also still available.
