Now that Thanksgiving is over, let the Christmas decorating begin. While 67.4 % of Americans use an artificial Christmas tree for the holidays, there is nothing quite like the smell of a fresh pine tree to make your home feel like the holidays.

The nostalgia of going to the Christmas tree farm or stand to pick out the perfect tree, struggling to tie it to your car, and getting it into the house will always hold special memories. Sure, it may be a little more work picking up the pine needles and making sure there's water in the stand, but the effect of a full real tree all decorated with your favorite ornaments makes it worth the extra effort.

It's time to reorganize the living room, dust off the Christmas totes, and head out to get the perfect tree for your home. Here are some Christmas tree farms and stands to visit on the SouthCoast to get your holiday centerpiece:

Pachet Brook Tree Farm

4484 Main Road, Tiverton, R.I.: Balsam Fir, Douglas Fir, Fraser Fir, White Spruce, Meyer Spruce, Norway Spruce, and White Pine with some trees up to 25 feet. They are known for supplying the Governor's tree at the Rhode Island State House.

They have free hot chocolate and coffee on the weekends as well as hayrides.
