Looking for a pet? These sweet pit bulls are waiting for their forever homes
Blue, Hercules and Grayson are three incredible pit bulls waiting for their forever homes.
All three are available for adoption at the San Luis Obispo County Animal Services shelter.
Four-year-old Blue is a pint-size pittie known for her sweet smile, gentle demeanor and love for water. Her favorite pastimes are splashing around in the kiddie pool and giving kisses.
Two-year-old Hercules is potty trained. He’s good with other dogs as well as people of all ages, and great in the car.
Hercules has a tennis ball obsession, loves treats and looks adorable in his giraffe pajamas.
Grayson, 3, has been at the shelter since January and it is unclear why.
Grayson recently spent time in foster care, where he thrived being in a loving home.
He enjoyed meeting new people and dogs, relaxing on the couch, snuggling with his foster family and running alongside his foster mom while she biked the kids to school.
Despite their loving temperament and people-pleasing nature, pit bulls often have a very hard time leaving shelters due to false negative stereotypes that have surrounded the breed for years.
According to the Central California SPCA, the term “pit bull” is used to refer to multiple breeds, including the American Pit Bull terrier, American bulldog, American Staffordshire terrier, Staffordshire bull terrier and the English bull terrier
When bred properly, such dogs can be “docile, child friendly and easily trained,” the nonprofit said.
Blue, Hercules and Grayson are tired of being overlooked for their breed and are ready to shower three lucky adopters with endless love.
Swing by the shelter to meet these great dogs or other outstanding pit bulls such as Clover, Chulo and Sydney.
