Looking for pickleball courts in Milwaukee? Here's where you can play

Pickleball is one of the fastest growing sports across the country. That growth has absolutely found its way to the Milwaukee metro area.

There are many plans for pickleball courts in the works at the moment and more likely to come. For now, we wanted to compile a list of places that beginners and advanced players can enjoy the popular game.

From bars to parks, here is a list of places that have pickleball courts in the Milwaukee area.

Riverwalk Commons Pickleball Courts (Milwaukee)

The Riverwalk Commons is one of the few places to play in the downtown area. There are two pickleball courts under the Interstate 794 bridge across the street from the Milwaukee Public Market. The courts are first come, first served.

Sijan Pickleball & Tennis Courts (Milwaukee)

There are six pickleball-lined courts at this Bay View spot next to Kinnickinnic Park. The courts are free to use. However, you will need to bring your own net.

Address: 2800-2898 S. California St., Milwaukee

Juneau Playfield (Milwaukee)

There are six pickleball courts lined on the tennis courts at Juneau Playfield. They are open and free to the public, but you'll need to bring your own net.

Address: 6500 W. Mt. Vernon Ave., Milwaukee

Dale Z.'s On Tour (Milwaukee)

A bar with a pickleball court? That's right. In 2022, owner Dale Zbieranek installed two outdoor pickleball courts at the Tippecanoe bar. The courts are free to use. To get more info, text "pickle" to (414) 812-4400. Walk-ins are also welcome.

Atwater Elementary School (Shorewood)

There are four pickleball courts lined on the tennis courts at Atwater Elementary. Courts are first-come, first-serve all the time except for during the Saturday program. This takes place from 8 a.m. to noon every Saturday between June 3 and Aug. 19. For the Saturday program, you can purchase an eight-uses punch card for $30 as a Shorewood resident and $45 as a non-resident.

Hart Park (Wauwatosa)

There are four courts lined in the tennis courts. You'll use the same nets that are up for both sports. Courts are first-come, first served.

Klode Park (Whitefish Bay)

There are four courts drawn into the tennis courts here. Portable nets are available, but you can also bring your own.

Address: 5960 N. Lake Drive, Whitefish Bay

Liberty Heights Park (West Allis)

There are two courts at this West Allis park. There is a group that meets every Sunday at 10 a.m. to play if you're interested.

Village Park (Menomonee Falls)

There are two dedicated pickleball courts that are free and open to the public. Courts are first-come, first served.

Address: N87 W16749 Garfield Drive, Menomonee Falls

Banting Park (Waukesha)

There are eight pickleball courts at this Waukesha park. They are open and free to the public year round.

Address: 2101 Butler Drive, Waukesha

Valley View Park (New Berlin)

There are eight lined courts at this park in New Berlin. The courts are only open at specific times and you must register to ahead of time to use them, which you can do here. There is a fee when you register. The court are open to reserve from May through August. For open play, the courts are open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 7 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. (it is closed on Memorial Day), Tuesday and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Lions Park (New Berlin)

These courts are coming to New Berlin in summer 2023. Four to six courts are expected to be lined there. It is unclear if they will require registration like the courts at Valley View Park.
