Looking for some new places in the Rock Hill region to eat out? Try these area openings

New restaurants in the Rock Hill region are common occurrences.

Recent or planned openings include sites in Rock Hill, Fort Mill, Indian Land and Tega Cay. Menus range from sandwiches to soul food to buffet.

Here are some quick bites on new places to try:

Cinnaholic will have its grand opening Aug. 18 at 1177 Stonecrest Boulevard in Tega Cay. The Fort Mill area location will offer gourmet cinnamon rolls, homemade cookie dough and other baked goods. The grand opening will offer $2 cinnamon rolls and a chance online to win cinnamon roles for a year.

Southern Hills Gastropub opened this month in the Shiland Hills shopping center in Rock Hill. The restaurant is at 2685 Celanese Road, the corner of Celanese and India Hook roads. The menu offers tapas, sandwiches, salads and soups along with a drink menu.

Bossy Beulah’s recently opened in Fort Mill. It’s in the former Coleman’s Garage space, 314 N. White St., across from Elisha Park. The menu is chicken sandwiches and wings, with salad, side and desserts.

Food Geeks Eatery opened last month in Indian Land. The soul food restaurant at 10048 Charlotte Highway, in the Walmart off Charlotte Highway, held its grand opening July 15. Food Geeks describes itself online as a Black-owned business with Southern comfort food made “the Brooklyn way.” The menu includes wings and grilled chicken, sandwiches, fried shrimp and other foods.

Richie’s Italian Bistro at Riverwalk posted this week that hiring is underway for a coming restaurant at 819 Terrace Park in Rock Hill. The Riverwalk restaurant lists its menu as pizza with classic and new Italian cuisine. Richie’s lists the same address as The Brass Tap, near the Catawba River.

Ginza Buffet held its grand opening late last month near the Galleria Mall. It’s in the former Amber space, 2275 Dave Lyle Blvd., and like the former restaurant features a large buffet selection of Asian cuisine. Ginza also has crab legs and sushi on the buffet.

Groucho’s Deli recently moved into the former Sol Cafe and Michael’s spot at 1039 Charlotte Ave., near Winthrop University. The restaurant was open more than a decade at 221 Cherry Road. Groucho’s serves a variety of sandwiches.
