Drake White's excited about Friday's release of "The Optimystic," his second studio album and the first after interruptions from a serious health issue and a global pandemic.

"He's amazing," White said of the Ellaville, Georgia, native and fellow country artist. Cobb's latest offering is "And Now, Let's Turn To Page ...," a collection of Southern gospel tunes inspired by Sundays spent in a small church with his family.

Whiskey Myers

"These are the guys I'm out on the road with now," White said, of the Texas southern rock/country band. Whiskey Myers saw its stock rise in when its music — and the band, performing in a bar scene — were featured in Paramount Network's "Yellowstone." The band's latest record is "Mud."

Zac Brown

"His new record is great," White said, of "The Comeback," a return to roots for the Zac Brown Band.

Riley Green

White said he's listening to fellow Alabama artist Green, from "right down the road" in Jacksonville. Green released the album "Different 'Round Here" in 2019.
