Danny Soliz, Director of Business Development for South Plains Workforce Solutions, offered some advice to potential job seekers planning to attend.

"Google the employers that are attending the job fair to learn all you can about that employer," Soliz said. "That way, when you go to their booth, you have information about them, and if they ask why would you like to come work for us, you will be prepared."

He also wanted to remind attendees to dress business professional and to bring resumes. If someone does not have a resume, there will be forms available and copiers, free of charge. There will be an area for employers to interview attendees on the spot as well.

"As you drive around town, you see all the signs, hiring now," Soliz said. "Instead of driving all over town and knocking on doors or filling out applications, come talk to them at the Civic Center. They may find something they're really interested in."

If someone can not make the event, there will be job fairs virtually and in-person nearly every month. On Nov. 10, there will be one for transitioning service members, military spouses, National Guard, Reserve, veterans and their families.
