Looking for a staycation in Nashville? Check out these deals

It may be the bachelorette party capital of the world and a hot spot for tourists hoping to experience a honky-tonk or two, but Nashville might just also be the perfect spot for a staycation.

So book a room, buy that expensive pair of boots and top your outfit off with a hat.

But as always, some deals have minimum-stay requirements and non-refundable cancellation fees. Be sure to read the fine print before booking your trip.

Tips and tricks for saving on your trip

Travel.com says the cheapest time to book your stay in Nashville is during the winter months — November through March. To save a little more money, you might want to book your stay during weekdays to avoid the higher charges on weekends. And you might want to avoid booking during winter holidays such as Christmas and New Year's Eve and New Year's Day, as prices are likely to increase.

There are some tradeoffs when booking a Nashville vacation during winter months. You may run into damp and gloomy weather mixed with a cold snap or two.

But you may benefit from seeing a festively decorated Music City that you wouldn't get to experience during the summer.

And remember: Honky-tonks are still going strong during the winter, so grab a coat, a hot beverage, stay inside and listen to a few more songs to get warmed up before you head to the next venue along Broadway.

If not on a budget, take your staycation in Nashville any time, especially during the summer when Music City is at its most expensive.

But stay hydrated — with water, not cocktails — as Nashville summers can be sweltering, with average temperatures in July reaching 90 degrees.

Another option for saving money is through Groupon or booking sites like Booking.com, kayak.com and trivago.com.

Look on hotel websites for packages and deals, like one we found from Virgin Hotels that offers drink and food credits with stays and a fourth night free when you book for three nights.
