Patti LuPone: Don't Monkey with Broadway

Broadway legend Patti LuPone is coming to Austin! We repeat: Broadway legend Patti LuPone is coming to Austin! LuPone will perform her one-woman show at 8 p.m. May 1 at the Long Center, 701 West Riverside Drive. Her show covers her love for Broadway and includes songs from Stephen Sondheim, Richard Rogers, Leonard Bernstein and more. Tickets start at $39. Information: thelongcenter.org.

Republic of Texas Motorcycle Rally

The annual Republic of Texas Motorcycle Rally runs May 5-7 at Austin Speed Shop, 3507 Chapman Lane. Check out the rally's builder tour, hot rods, food vendors, live music and more. Information: republicoftexasmotorcyclerally.com.

Pecan Street Spring Arts Festival

The spring edition of the Pecan Street Arts Festival runs May 6-7 in the Sixth Street Historic District between Interstate 35 and Brazos Street. The festival is open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. May 6 and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. May 7. The festival features art vendors, live music and food. Information: pecanstreetfestival.org.

Mother's Day with the Housewives

Spend Mother's Day with our favorites from the Real Housewives franchise. Luann de Lesseps, Ramona Singer and Dorinda Medley, all NYC veterans, will be at Emo's Austin, 2015 East Riverside Drive, on May 12. Tickets start at $58. Information and tickets: emosaustin.com.

Texas Burlesque Festival

Watch dozens of burlesque performers, including locals Gingersnaps and Jigglewatts, starting at 8 p.m. May 12-13 at Texas Burlesque Festival at the Long Center, 701 West Riverside Drive. Tickets start at $40. Information: thelongcenter.org.

Blanton new grounds: Grand opening celebration

The Blanton Museum of Art will debut its makeover at a public celebration starting at 2 p.m. May 13. The event will take place on the Moody Patio and is free to the public, but entry into the museum itself will still be $15 for adults. The event includes live music, food and art. The Blanton's new grounds will include shade canopies, new art installations, native plants and more. Information: blantonmuseum.org.

Steve Martin and Martin Short at Bass Concert Hall

Steve Martin and Martin Short's "You Won't Believe What They Look Like Today!" show runs May 19-20 at Bass Concert Hall, 2350 Robert Dedman Drive. The comedy show includes jokes about the nature of celebrity, and the duo will roast each other. Tickets start at $89.50. Information: texasperformingarts.org.

Hot Luck Fest

This annual food-and-music festival, created by Aaron Franklin and James Moody, runs May 25-28 at various spots around Austin. Chefs from Uchi, Nixta Taqueria, Oseyo and more will be featured at this year's festival. Tickets for individual food events range from $50 to $250, and tickets for individual music shows range from free to $22. A badge to attend everything at Hot Luck Fest is $500. Theresa Caputo Live

Theresa Caputo, aka the Long Island Medium, will be in Austin at 7 p.m. May 25 at the Paramount Theatre, 713 Congress Ave. The event description on the Paramount's website says: "Through sharing her gift of communicating with those who have passed on, Theresa delivers healing messages directly to audience members, comforting them with the revelation that our deceased loved ones are still with us — just in a different way." Tickets start at $74.75 and can be purchased at: austintheatre.org.

Austin Soul Food Festival

Austin Soul Food Festival will be from noon to 6 p.m May 28 at Mia Events Center, 13015 Dessau Road, Suite B304. The event includes food from chefs from across the state and shopping opportunities. The event is free with an early bird ticket and $5-$10 closer to the event day. Information: eventbrite.com.
