HOLLAND — One local couple hopes to take the high-pressure sales tactics out of window replacement.

The business, Zen Windows West Michigan, is owned by David and Dawn Mattoon, with local investor Jeff Youngsma. The team brings over 30 years of experience to the table.

“With decades of experience in the window replacement industry, I know many companies use high pressure and multiple sales tactics to convince homeowners to purchase new windows,” David said. “I believe windows are the soul of a home and I’m dedicated to educating consumers and finding exactly the right solution for their window project.”

David has been in the window manufacturing and installation business for 28 years. Dawn comes from a family with a history in the glass business. Instead of sending pushy salespeople, the couple asks for a rough measurement and photos from homeowners — then, they provide guidance and pricing that meets their needs.

“We're changing the industry by educating the consumer and giving them the opportunity to review a quote without a salesperson sitting across from them telling them why they should buy windows today,” David said.
