'Loose Women' star Penny Lancaster threatened with stabbing on 'Famous and Fighting Crime'
Viewers have praised Loose Women star Penny Lancaster’s resolve after she was threatened with being stabbed while appearing on a new fly-on-the-wall documentary show.
Famous and Fighting Crime aired on Channel 4 last night, with Lancaster among a group of celebrities volunteering as special constables with the Cambridgeshire Police Force.
But Lancaster soon found herself helping the police chase down a suspected shoplifter, who then turned on them.
The woman threatened to stab Lady Stewart – she’s married to Sir Rod Stewart – with a ‘dirty needle’.
Many viewers praise the presenter on social media.
Massive respect for Penny Lancaster! #FamousAndFightingCrime
I'm quite impressed by this show so far. Showing the harsh realities of what officers face day to day!

She was also left shaken earlier on in the show, during a simulation in which a police officer took on the role of a potential attacker.
Lancaster then told how it brought back memories of an incident when she was 11 or 12, in which she was assaulted by a man in an underpass, but fortunately managed to fight him off.
Well done Penny for bravely sharing your story. #FamousAndFightingCrime pic.twitter.com/AIfxBC4vuR
