Loretta Lynn says she’s a cougar, ‘marries’ Kid Rock. ‘Sorry girls, he’s taken now’

Loretta Lynn watched her son renew his wedding vows over the weekend, but it was the 88-year-old country music icon who ended the night wearing a veil and a ring on her finger.

“88 and feeling great,” Lynn posted in a hashtag on Facebook after showing photos of her “marriage” to singer Kid Rock.

Lynn wrote “things got crazy” after the vow renewal when she and Kid Rockpretended to get married in a playful ceremony.

“We’ve always teased about getting ourselves married,” the Kentucky native wrote. “Well, the preacher was already there so we had some fun with it. Sorry girls, he’s taken now.”

Her hashtags also included #cougar and #tabloidfodder.

Lynn’s granddaughter, Tayla Lynn, described on social media how it all unfolded. She said Kid Rock was officiating the vow renewal between her father and step-mother, Earnest Lynn and Cyrstal Lynn, and he was about to sing a song when a preacher came onto the stage to turn the attention to Loretta.

“Now you must understand how close Kid and Memaw have gotten,” Tayla Lynn wrote. “Like they adore each other. They joke around all the time about getting married and saying to heck with the rest of em.”

The two singers were giddy “like school kids” and played along with the ceremony, Tayla Lynn said.

Pictures show the overall-clad Kid Rock down on his knees in front of the smiling Loretta Lynn, who was wearing a veil and a new ring.

A video shows the preacher pronounce the two “Mr. and Mrs. American Bad***.”

Lynn was married to Oliver Lynn for 50 years before he died in 1996, Taste Of Country reported. Kid Rock was married to Pamela Anderson for six months in 2006-2007.

“We all laughed, sung, hugged,” Tayla Lynn wrote. “It was a moment last night in the midst of the world turning sideways where love and joy were absolutely shared.”
