Lottery player wins $403,497 after purchasing ticket at Bread and Butter Shop in Nekoosa

NEKOOSA – A lottery player won more than $400,000 after purchasing a winning ticket at Bread and Butter Shop Wednesday in Nekoosa.

The player won 100% of the $403,497 Fast Play Progressive Jackpot prize, the largest prize since the game debuted in April, according to a release from Wisconsin Lottery.

The Fast Play Progressive Jackpot can be won as soon as the ticket is purchased, unlike other lottery games, and the amount of money won depends on the ticket price the player purchased. A $1 ticket wins 10% of the jackpot, a $2 ticket wins 20%, a $5 ticket wins 50% and a $10 ticket wins 100% of the prize.

A Bread and Butter Shop clerk told Wisconsin Lottery she hoped the winner was a local resident.

The Fast Play Progressive Jackpot winner is the second lottery winner to buy a winning lottery ticket in Nekoosa in the last week. A $98,000 Badger 5 jackpot was split for the July 21 drawing between winning players with tickets purchased in Grafton and at Party Connection in Nekoosa.
