How the ticket was purchased: Glover bought a $5 Living Lucky with Luke Combs ticket on April 21 from Antioch Food Mart on U.S. 158 in Oxford, the N.C. Education Lottery said in a news release, then scratched the ticket in his car with his wife.

What the winner has to say: “I had to blink a couple times to see if it was real,” said Glover. “Then, we went about our day trying to hold it in.”
