The size of the prize: $200,000 (which comes to $142,501 after taxes).
How the ticket was purchased: Glover bought a $5 Living Lucky with Luke Combs ticket on April 21 from Antioch Food Mart on U.S. 158 in Oxford, the N.C. Education Lottery said in a news release, then scratched the ticket in his car with his wife.
What the winner has to say: “I had to blink a couple times to see if it was real,” said Glover. “Then, we went about our day trying to hold it in.”
More about the game: The Living Lucky with Luke Combs game is a new offering from the lottery that debuted this month. Luke Combs is a country music star and North Carolina native.
The game has five prizes of $200,000. As of Thursday afternoon, three were remaining.
The game offers two second-chance drawings to win a trip to Nashville to attend a Luke Combs concert and, while there, a chance to win $500,000.
