“They drove the fake ‘police’ and rescuers to Ivan Alekseev Street – they allegedly found a handmade explosive device near the fire station,” Fedorov said.

“They reported an injured ‘policeman’. Probably, in the ‘best’ Rashist (Russian + fascist – ed.) traditions, they will block the street and look for ‘saboteurs’,” he added.

Details are being clarified, he said.

The explosion was heard in different areas of the city, RIA Melitopol reported on March 23.

“Our best guess is, (it’s) either the work of partisans to blow up another collaborator, or the Rashists themselves had an unsafe smoke,” the report said, adding that “after the explosion, the people of Melitopol heard a strange hum.”

A local collaborator named Ivan Tkach, who owned a large private transport company, was killed in a car bombing in Melitopol on March 14. The invaders had “appointed” him as the “head of the city transport”.
