Loudonville Library has host of activities planned for September

The following are a list activities at the Loudonville Public Library:

Storytime to Go: Every Tuesday a new storytime will be ready to go.Storytime to Go is a collection of books with songs and activity suggestions for creating your own storytime at home.

Friends of the Library Sidewalk Book Sale: 10-2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 3.Stop by our book sale while you are enjoying Labor Day festivities. Come early for best selection.

The library is closed Monday, Sept. 5, for Labor Day.

Twisted Stitchers Tuesdays: September 6 & 20, 10-11 a.m. Any needle crafter welcome. We meet in the Café the first and third Tuesday of each month. Bring your current project, enjoy snacks, and sharing with others. Want to learn to knit or crochet? We have teachers in the group.

Friends of the Library Meeting: Tuesday, Sept. 6 at 2 p.m. Emily Rebmann will be presenting Historic Buildings of Ohio. This meeting is open to all.

Tuesday Crafternoon: Tuesday, Sept. 6, 3:30-4:30 p.m. Feeling a spark of creativity? Children and teens of all ages are welcome to join us to make a Bleeding Tissue Paper Canvas. This new series of after-school crafts will be held in the lower level of the library. Children ages 7 and under will need assistance from an adult or caregiver. Limit of 24.

Folk Music with Andy & Judy: Wednesday, Sept. 7 at 6:30 p.m. Come enjoy this special presentation of folk music. Using a variety of classic folk instruments, Andy and Judy Daigle will put the fun back in folk music with their amazing harmony and audience participation.

Children’s Take & Makes – Tiny Art Show: Monday, Sept. 12Display your artistic talents in our Tiny Art Show! Receive a mini art kit and create your masterpiece. When completed, return it to the library by Sept. 30 to be part of the show. Your art will be displayed the week of the fair. Take & Makes are first come first served. You can also reserve a craft by calling the library starting the day listed for each activity. Limit one activity per person.

Pinterest Power – Birds & Book Pages: 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13, or 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14. Make a beautiful piece of book page art. Sign-up is required with each session limited to 12 adults. A sample will be on display in the library and posted on our Facebook page.

TAB Meeting: 3:30-4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13 in the café. The Teen Advisory Board (TAB) is resuming and looking for members! Join us for an informational meeting to hear how you can influence the functioning of the library, especially for teen programming and the selection of library materials. Any teen is welcome to attend. Snacks will be provided!

Creative Writing Workshop: 4-5:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 19. Share your writing and try new writing techniques in an informal workshop setting. This program is intended for adults ages 18 and up. Please bring your own writing device (paper and pens will be provided).

Adult Book Discussion: 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 23.This month’s book is “The Fountains of Silence” by Ruta Sepetys. You can pick up a book and discussion packet at the circulation desk a month prior to the discussion date. We will be meeting in the Golden Center. Come and share with other avid readers. New members are always welcome.
