Loudoun County Coronavirus Update: 88 New Cases, 1 New Death
LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA – There are 88 new cases of the coronavirus in Loudoun County as of Wednesday morning, bringing the total number of cases in the county to 2,274.
There was one additional death reported Wednesday, according the Virginia Department of Health, bringing the total death count in the county to 53. There are currently 155 hospitalized patients.
To date, the county has tested 11,372 people and has had 12 coronavirus outbreak across the Loudoun Health District. There have been 219 coronavirus cases related to outbreaks and 84 coronavirus cases in health care workers.
As of Wednesday, Virginia now has 40,249 total confirmed cases of the coronavirus, 907 more cases in the past 24 hours. There are 4,385 hospitalized patients and 1,281 deaths.

GOVERNMENT
Northern Virginia leaders say the region has met four of six criteria for the first phase of reopening, but did not request another delay in a letter to Gov. Ralph Northam. Inova Health System is seeking recovered patients who could help those continuing to fight COVID-19, the illness caused by the new coronavirus.
