Louisiana basketball score vs. Tennessee: Live updates from March Madness
Louisiana basketball's nine-year NCAA Tournament drought comes to an end with its first-round showdown against Tennessee inside Amway Center in Orlando on Thursday (8:40 p.m. CBS).
The 13-seeded Ragin' Cajuns (26-7) are led by Jordan Brown, who averages 19 points and 8.7 rebounds per game and they'll need a big game from the junior forward against the No. 4 seed Volunteers (23-10), who don't have a big-name inside player but still have talent with Olivier Nkamhoua, Uros Plavsic and Jones Aidoo.
UL is 4-11 all-time in March Madness with its last win coming against No. 4 seed Oklahoma in 1992.

Back in 2000, the Cajuns nearly took down Tennessee as a No. 13 seed in Birmingham. They led most of the game before the Vols took the lead with less than three minutes to go and held Louisiana off.
