Louisiana football to open spring practice March 7, hold annual spring game at night

Louisiana football's annual spring football game will be held under the lights at Cajun Field this year.

The Vermilion and White game has been set for April 6 at 7:30 p.m., the university announced Wednesday afternoon. Admission will be free for fans.

Further details surrounding the Ragin' Cajuns' spring football game will be finalized and revealed at a later date.

UL's spring game caps off spring practice, consisting of 15 allotted team sessions which will open March 7. Louisiana will conduct its Pro Day, guys working out for the NFL teams on campus, March 15 at the Donald and Janice Mosing Student-Athlete Performance Center.

Michael Desormeaux is entering his second season as head coach of Louisiana, his alma mater, and the Cajuns are coming off a disappointing 6-7 season punctuated by a loss in the Independence Bowl to Houston.

The Ragin' Cajuns open the 2023 football season Sept. 2 against Northwestern State at Cajun Field.
