Louisiana lottery players won $7.3 million in June with draw-style games

Louisiana had more than $7.3 million in winning tickets for draw-style lottery games in June, including a Powerball plus power ball match-four prize worth $50,000, the Louisiana Lottery Corporation announced.

Winners for lottery draw-style games have 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their winnings for those tickets.

“Nearly 28,000 Power Play purchasers won an extra $234,360 in addition to their regular Powerball prizes for a total of $358,931 in winnings,” Lottery President Rose Hudson said in a release. “Also, nearly 19,000 Megaplier purchasers won a bonus total of $161,690 in addition to their regular Mega Millions prizes for $230,472 in total winnings.”

Here’s a breakdown of how much money was won in different lottery games for June:

  • Fast Play players won nearly $831,000.

  • Scratch-off players claimed more than $16.9 million in cash prizes for June, including a prize worth $200,000.

    • Scratch-off players also claimed more than $2.2 million in free-ticket prizes.

  • Pick 3 winning tickets in June totaled nearly $3.5 million, while Pick 4 winnings totaled just over $2 million. Pick 5 prizes totaled $362,450.

  • Seventeen Powerball with Power Play match-four prizes totaled $4,600, and 49 Powerball match-four prizes totaled $4,900.

  • Two Mega Millions match-four plus Mega Ball winnings amounted to $20,000, and 26 Mega Millions match-four prizes totaled $13,000.

  • Forty-eight players won Lotto match-five prizes for a combined $56,011, bringing Lotto’s monthly total winnings to $288,314, according to the lottery corporation.

  • Easy 5 prizes totaled $97,891 plus an additional $79,275 won with the “ezmatch” instant-win option.

  • Instant-win terminal Fast Play players won $830,510 in prizes, including a Louisiana Jackpot ticket worth $21,051.
