Louisiana man arrested on sex crimes charges after agents’ undercover operation
BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — An undercover operation by FBI agents led to an Albany man being put behind bars.
Tyler Tantillo, 30, is accused of texting an undercover agent who was posing as an underaged girl to ask if they could have sex in his car, according to the affidavit.
The Albany man went to a home that the FBI was using for the operation in East Baton Rouge Parish. He arrived a little before 4 p.m. and was taken into custody after entering the home.
“FBI agents located several images and videos of child pornography in other Kik chat conversations” on Tantillo’s account, according to the affidavit.

He later admitted during questioning that he came to the home to have sex with someone he believed to be an underaged girl, the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office said.
The Albany man was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on Friday, Jan. 26 and charged with attempted felony carnal knowledge with a juvenile, indecent behavior with a juvenile, computer aided solicitation of a minor and pornography involving juveniles.
As of the publishing of this article, no bond has been set for Tantillo.
