Louisiana-Monroe football opens second season with Terry Bowden at Texas: Live score updates
Louisiana-Monroe football kicks off the 2022 season at Texas on Saturday ( 7 p.m., Longhorn Network).
The Longhorns lead the all-time series 1-0; Texas beat ULM 59-20 in 2009. ULM's Terry Bowden and Texas' Steve Sarkisian are both in their second year leading their respective teams.
Last year, the Warhawks finished 4-8, the Longhorns 5-7.
Chandler Rogers will lead ULM at quarterback. Last season he played in all 12 games and led the team with 1,311 yards passing with nine touchdowns.
Texas will start redshirt freshman Quinn Ewers at quarterback. The 6-foot-2, 209-pound transfer from Ohio State was the No. 1 recruit of the 2021 class. The game against the Warhawks marks his first career start.
