Ripping tarps off damaged roofs and scattering massive piles of storm debris in the wind and water, Hurricane Delta inflicted fresh damage in Louisiana along the same path of destruction Hurricane Laura carved just six weeks earlier. (Oct 10)
CALEB CORMIER: It really is nowhere near the amount of damage that Hurricane Laura did, and I'm very grateful for that. You know, praise God. We, uh-- me and my family, I know we were all praying. I was praying last night just to get through it.
DON DIXON: It, uh, was quite a night. Lost power about seven. This-- this street here was like a river. A lot of rain. A lot of debris that was floating around from remnants of Laura.
But all in all, we got punched in the face, but we-- we're getting back up.
