UPDATE: Louisville City Council: Chris Leh leads mayoral race, Deborah Fahey leads Ward 2

Nov. 7—Chris Leh is projected to be the next Louisville mayor with 58.70% of votes as of Wednesday morning, while Deborah Fahey is leading in the race for Ward 2 City Council.

Leh has been a Louisville council member for the past nine years and said he will prioritize "economic vitality" by attracting more business to the area and growing current establishments.

Leh has also served on the Louisville Revitalization Commission, Louisville Planning Commission, Blue Sky Bridge, Imagine! Foundation and Legal Aid Foundation. He co-founded Leh Law and is a Louisville resident of 29 years.

Sherry Sommer and Josh Cooperman follow behind Leh in the polls, Sommer with 26.12% of the vote and Cooperman with 15.18%.

With 54.64% of votes as of Wednesday morning, Fahey is leading in her Ward 2 council seat race against George Colbert — a former city council member in The Village, Oklahoma. George had 45.36% of votes Wednesday morning.

Fahey served as a member of the Historic Preservation Committee for four years.

Two open Ward 3 seats are going to Barbara Hamlington and Dietrich Hoefner. Hamlington is in the lead with 67.20% of votes Wednesday morning, with Hoefner tallying 32.80% of the vote.

The leading vote-getter in Ward 3 will receive a four-year term, with the runner-up serving two.

Former Historic Preservation Commissioner Caleb Dickinson ran

uncontested for Ward 1 and will be serving his second term.
