Louisville drops ACC matchup to Florida State football: Video highlights from home opener
Louisville football returns to Cardinal Stadium on Friday night with Scott Satterfield and the Cardinals looking to beat Florida State for the third time in a row.
The Atlantic Coast Conference matchup between U of L (1-1) and the Seminoles (2-0) is scheduled to kick off at 7:30 p.m. on ESPN.
After a disastrous season-opening loss at Syracuse, Louisville responded with a comeback victory at the University of Central Florida on Sept. 9. The Cardinals will try to stay undefeated against opponents from the Sunshine State in front of the first home crowd of the season with a Week 4 matchup vs. South Florida looming.
Adding to the excitement surrounding the home opener, U of L legend Michael Bush will be in attendance Friday night as the Cardinals honor the former running back's No. 19 jersey. A Louisville native who starred at Male High School, Bush amassed 2,508 yards and 39 playing for his hometown school from 2003-06.
Florida State heads into town fresh off a bye week. Coach Mike Norvell's undefeated Seminoles are playing in their first ACC game after blowing out Duquesne on Aug. 27 and winning a nail-biter against LSU in New Orleans during Labor Day weekend.

Finding the right balance for Malik Cunningham is key to unlocking Louisville's offense
For one week, Malik Cunningham got away from what has made him so successful.
In Louisville’s season opener, the Cardinals' dual-threat signal caller didn’t run nearly as much as he has in the past and was held to less than 100 yards rushing in the 31-7 loss to Syracuse. Six days later, the Cardinals changed course.
Cunningham let loose. He rushed for 121 rushing yards to go along with 195 passing yards, accounting for 75% of the team’s offensive yards in the 20-14 win over UCF on Friday. The performance was highlighted by his 43-yard touchdown run with 2:46 left in the third quarter that gave Louisville a 17-14 lead and the first since the opening minutes of the Week 2 clash.
Louisville vs Florida State football history
The Seminoles lead the all-time series 16-6. For games between the two teams played in Louisville, FSU holds the advantage at 6-3.
While Florida State has a convincing lead in the series, Louisville is on a two-game win streak.
