Louisville Restaurant Week is back. Here's who's participating, what you can eat and more

It's almost time for Louisville Restaurant Week. The annual event offers what founder Tony Frank calls a "culinary tour of the local food scene."

Participating restaurants offer three-course meals at a discount for $26, $36 or $46, depending on the restaurant. Some have fixed menus and some have options, and a dollar from each meal sale will be donated to charity.

"The whole idea is to choose a slower time period for restaurants and create this community collaborative event to drive people into places they might not have been before," Frank said. "It's been successful every single year."

This year's charity partner is Hope Buss, an organization that helps those experiencing homelessness.

"Our agency is looking forward to this month's Louisville Restaurant Week to be able to dually support Bourbon City's strong culinary brand while simultaneously bringing awareness to this year’s philanthropic partner, The Hope Buss," said Cleo Battle, Louisville Tourism president & CEO. "We encourage guests to dine out during this annual week to support our city’s outstanding restaurants and The Hope Buss’ mission of serving and empowering Louisville’s underrepresented communities."

Some previous burger or pizza week participants sold more than a thousand meals during their designated time periods. Louisville Restaurant Week gives restaurants that might not serve those types of foods a chance to participate and draw new customers to their front door.
