Louisville vs Florida State women's basketball: How to watch, stream, get live updates

After a heartbreaking 81-79 loss at No. 13 Virginia Tech, the Louisville’s women’s basketball team will stay on the road to take on Florida State.

The Seminoles (16-3, 5-1 Atlantic Coast Conference) are unranked, but they have wins over 22nd-ranked North Carolina and No. 11 NC State and are second in the ACC standings. They’ve also won five of their last six games. On the other end, Louisville (13-6, 4-2) dropped to fifth in the league standings and is 2-2 over its last four games. The Cardinals were close to getting their second top-25 win of the season but couldn’t overcome the Hokies’ deep group of playmakers.

It’ll be a similar situation against a confident FSU team that’s averaging 87.5 points per game while holding its opponents to 67.6 points per outing. The Seminoles’ offensive effort is led by true freshman guard and eight-time ACC Freshman of the Week Ta’Niya Latson, who’s leading the ACC with 25 points per game. Makayla Timpson (13.5) and Sara Bejedi (10.6) are also averaging double-digit points for FSU.

Though Louisville’s point production isn’t as high as Florida State’s, the Cardinals have the conference’s highest field-goal percentage at 46.7% and are third in 3-point shooting (35.3%). Junior guard Hailey Van Lith is second in the ACC behind Latson with 20.8 points per contest, which included a 29-point contest at Virginia Tech, while Chrislyn Carr has been Louisville’s top 3-point shooter, knocking them down at a 47.1% clip.

The game will also be a homecoming of sorts for Morgan Jones (19 points, nine rebounds against VT), who spent four years at Florida State. While there, she became the Seminoles’ 21st All-American and first player to be named to both the All-ACC first team and defensive team in the same season as a junior during the 2020-21 campaign. In her final year in Tallahassee, Jones started 29 of 30 games played and led the squad with 13.8 points per game and 33 total steals.
