The Louisville men's basketball team (10-6, 4-2) is currently riding a two-game losing streak after falling to NC State 79-63 on Wednesday night.

A visit to Pittsburgh on Saturday for a 4 p.m. matchup will be the Cards' chance to turn the tide. After the NC State game, coach Chris Mack had several questions for himself regarding his team's performance.

“I feel like I’m reevaluating constantly,” Mack said. “I don’t know what I’m getting when I put a player in. Usually when you put a guy in, you know what he’s gonna bring to the table. To have three starters out of the five with zero points (in the first half), to be outscored 31-6 by the starting five, only then to go out and get down 8-0 in the second half — I mean, I have no explanation.”

The Cardinals lead the all-time series against Pitt 21-6, including 9-2 in games played in Pittsburgh. Louisville won this season’s previous meeting 75-72 on Jan. 5 at the KFC Yum! Center. The Cards have won the past five meetings and haven’t lost to the Panthers since Jan. 9, 2019, beat writer Brett Dawson wrote.
