Louisville Bats' walk-off halts Columbus Clippers' rally

Saturday's game: Bats 3, Clippers 2

Recap: Alejo Lopez hit a walk-off infield single in the bottom of the ninth inning and Louisville edged the visiting Clippers. Lopez was able to beat out the throw by third-baseman Gabriel Arias, who had both RBIs for the Clippers. In the eighth inning, Arias' ground out scored Will Brennan, but Columbus had to settle for one run after leaving the bases loaded. In the ninth, Arias tied the game with a sacrifice fly to score Tyler Freeman. Brennan finished with three hits, though the Clippers left 12 runners on base and went 0 for 8 with runners in scoring position. Peyton Battenfield allowed two runs on four hits and two walks with three strikeouts over six innings. Anthony Castro (1-2) took the loss in relief.
