Louisville woman dies after riding personal scooter on interstate

Police say 29-year-old Anett Williams of Louisville, Tennessee, died while riding a personal electric scooter on an interstate April 12.

Based on the investigation, Williams was riding an Emoko brand stand-up electric scooter in a travel lane on Interstate 140 at around 5 a.m. April 12 when she was struck by a pickup truck, a Knoxville Police Department spokesperson said in a press release.

Williams was pronounced dead at the scene.

The truck driver remained on the scene, the release said.
