Hoodline crunched the numbers to find the best affordable food trucks in Louisville, using both Yelp data and our own secret sauce to produce a ranked list of where to venture when cravings strike.
1. SnoWhat Snoballs
Topping the list is SnoWhat Snoballs. Located at 3801 Poplar Level Road in Poplar Level, the food stand and food truck, which offers shaved ice and more, is the highest-rated budget-friendly food truck in Louisville, boasting five stars out of 61 reviews on Yelp.

2. Crave Cafe and Catering
Next up is Clifton's Crave Cafe and Catering, situated at 2250 Frankfort Ave. With 4.5 stars out of 56 reviews on Yelp, the food truck, which offers sandwiches, soups and more, has proven to be a local favorite for those looking for an inexpensive option.
Yelper Julie F., who reviewed Crave Cafe and Catering on Aug. 30, wrote, "Great decor and fabulous food...Everything is made fresh and so yummy!"
Saphace A. noted, "I love sandwiches, and I know a good one when I see it. They've got a good variety if you want more than just the typical turkey or chicken salad."
3. Germany's #1 Food
Central Business District's Germany's #1 Food, located at 101 S. Fifth St., is another top choice, with Yelpers giving the low-priced food truck and German and Turkish spot five stars out of 21 reviews.

4. Las Gorditas

"We began by serving tacos and elotes (a delicious corn mixture) off of a hot dog cart," the business says in the history section of its Yelp profile.

5. V-GRITS Food Truck
Over in Highlands, check out V-GRITS Food Truck, which has earned 4.5 stars out of 26 reviews on Yelp. Dig in at the food truck and Southern and vegan spot by heading over to 1025 Barret Ave.
