  • The Love Is Blind cast "are paid little if anything," according to a source close to the show.
  • The source also said the couples truly participate in the experiment to find love.
  • The engaged couples paid for a majority of their wedding too, though production covered some costs.

The season one finale of Love Is Blind just dropped on Thursday, which had me thinking: How much would someone have to pay me to talk to a wall for ten days? Probably not very much, tbh, since the Love Is Blind cast could apparently request any snack sent to their pod, according to Refinery29, and I'm highly motivated by snacks on demand. (Real talk: Who isn't?)

Netflix must have figured people would be naturally drawn to the premise of finding love and getting engaged sight unseen, and luckily, they were right. The show had more than enough contestants making romantic connections on season one—with barely any monetary motivation.

Yep, unlike a lot of reality shows (including Netflix's other recent hit The Circle) where there's a grand prize is a large sum of cash, the Love Is Blind cast were actually there for, ahem, the **right** reasons.

"The participants are paid little if anything," a source close to the show told Women's Health. "They are truly in it to find love!"

The engaged couples also paid for the majority of their own nuptials, according to a production rep. "Of course production supplies some of the basics, but because these are their real weddings, it’s up to them as to how to spend their money," the rep previously shared with Women's Health.

I don't know about the rest of the Netflix-verse, but hearing the contestants are in it solely to find love (unlike a certain show that rhymes with "The Machelor") made me adore Love Is Blind even more.

Even though the last episode dropped today (😭😭😭), fans can get excited about learning even more hot goss from their favorite couples—including who's still together today—during the Love Is Blind reunion special on March 5th.
