'Love Is Blind' Season 3: Release Date, Cast, News and Details

Season 3 of "Love Is Blind" is set to premiere on Wednesday, Oct. 19 — so get your binge-watching goggles on, y'all.

This show is the epitome of binge-able — between the dramatic pod conversations between contestants, surprise engagements and everything in between (including Nick and Vanessa Lachey's commentary throughout), it's hard to not become immediately addicted.

Luckily, Netflix has already confirmed that there will be many more seasons, with the third one coming soon. Here's what to know.

Season 3 of 'Love Is Blind' has a release date, finally

A new teaser trailer, released in September, gives a snippet of the new cast and sets a premiere date: October 19.

When Vanessa Lachey announced that the pods are open in the trailer, we see the 15 women and 15 men run for those pods for dear life. And based on some of the snippets we get to see in the trailer (someone being in love with multiple women at once, another man suggesting they swap fiancees), we're anticipating we're gonna be in for a wild ride.

The cast has been announced too

Among the 30 contestants who signed up for Season 3? An aerospace engineer, a ballet dancer, and more than one realtor.

And the trailer introduces the 'main characters'

It appears that the main "characters" of Season 3 include Alexa Alfia, Bartise Bowden, Nancy Rodriguez, Raven Ross, and SK Alagbada.

The show will preserve 'Love Is Blind's' concept

On "Love is Blind," an experimental dating show, 30 single contestants are put into "pods," in which they are forced to make a connection with someone sitting on the opposite side of the wall.

The gag? You can't see the other person — which forces the contestants to judge only off personality and not looks. And what's more, contestants can't see what the contestant they're interested in looks like until they get engaged. Talk about tough love.

To the average person, the concept of the show may sound outlandish — but when the first season of the show aired at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, the isolation aspect of it somehow felt less strange. This sense of community while still being in an isolated setting, as well as the juicy drama on behalf of the cast, ultimately led to the wild success of the show, and the confirmation of a season two.

But will be set in a new location

The show's first season featured couples in Atlanta; the second, Chicago. Season Three is headed to Dallas, Texas.

Seasons 2 and 3 were filmed back-to-back

Netflix green-lit seasons 2 and 3 back in 2020 after observing the success of the first season.

In a March 2021 interview with Hollywood Life, Vanessa Lachey revealed that seasons two and three were filming either simultaneously or back-to-back, and claimed that they would get seasons two and three out "as soon as they can."

Our hope is that "Love is Blind" gets to season 20 and reaches a status of longevity similar to the "Bachelor" franchise — but we're just being hopeful here.

And there's more 'Love Is Blind' on the way

The dating, or should we say engagement, show was renewed through Season 5.
