Hi foodies,
Sometimes, lasagna is just noodles, cheese and sauce.
But sometimes, it's so much more.
Since 2020, a few dozen Fayetteville-area volunteers have delivered homemade lasagnas to anyone in need of a little extra care — no questions asked.
These volunteers are part of an international organization, Lasagna Love, which connects recipients with local cooks.
While reporting on the program for a recent story, I learned that the need in Cumberland County is much greater than the 42 volunteers can provide. As of last week, 55 families were waiting for a lasagna.
After writing about the people who make our community brighter one lasagna at a time, I was inspired to become a Lasagna Love volunteer. I think it’s an amazing way to show love and give support to anyone in our community who could benefit from a home-cooked meal.
I couldn’t be more excited to make my first lasagna delivery this Saturday.

Happy eating,
Taylor
