‘I don’t have another option’: Love & Hip Hop Miami’ star talks being a single mom

None of your business.

Amara La Negra isn’t giving up the goods.

Though the “Love & Hip Hop: Miami” star is about to give birth any minute now, she doesn’t feel the need to disclose the name of the father.

On Instagram the other day the singer put her followers on blast.

“Why does everyone keep asking me?” said her text on screen.

La Negra told Parents magazine last month that she will be raising her twin girls on her own, but not because she wanted it that way. As an only child, she said she dreamed of getting married and having a family.

“I think there was a part of me that was a little bit embarrassed to say that I am a single mother, not necessarily by choice,” said the 31 year old Miami resident. “I thought that I had chosen the right partner to make that happen but it wasn’t like that. So, I don’t have another option. But that’s OK. I’m a mother, my children are within me and I have to take that responsibility, and be that mother figure/father figure for my girls.”

La Negra announced in November that she was pregnant with twins after suffering a miscarriage. At the time it was believed the father was Dominican real estate broker Allan Mueses, whom La Negra star met while building property there. But they split months ago.

At least she has her mom, local empanada maker Mami Ani. Abuela to the rescue!
