What did you miss?

Maya Jama has admitted that her TV glamour is by no means a reflection of real life, describing herself as 'a crusty'.

Appearing on This Morning to promote this month's Love Island: All Stars, the presenter told Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary that she's forever aided by wardrobe, hair and makeup professionals before stepping out in front of the cameras.

What, how and why?

Sitting down opposite Jama, Hammond went on to ask: "We have a WhatsApp group and all we talk about are your [Love Island] outfits, like, they have become an event. Do you get a bit nervous about the next series? You have to top each one don't you?"

Having conceded that most of the pressure lies on her stylist's shoulders, the former BBC Radio 1 favourite went on to reply: "It's hard though isn't it, everyone's got different tastes so you don't know who you're gonna impress or please, I've just gotta dress to make myself feel good..."

O'Leary then highlighted Jama's playfulness when it comes to behind-the-scenes insights, suggesting it "normalises" her when she pulls strange faces in videos and photos.

"Because of work, as you know; you get your hair done, you get your makeup done, you look so fresh all the time but the reality is when I'm off camera, I'm crusty," the interviewee laughed.

"I barely wash my hair or my face, so I maybe I should show a bit more of that so people can actually see the reality."

Meanwhile, the cast of the upcoming All Stars version of Love Island was teased in their conversation.

"We're going straight back. Series 1 back. We're gonna have people from literally the whole journey through," revealed Jama.

"It's a bit of everything. Some of them are gonna be in their 30s now, some of them still mid-early-20s, so just to see the dynamic change and their experience. They know how it goes, they know what they're looking for. I think [this makes for] more drama."
