ITV has no plans to renew Iain Stirling's comedy show CelebAbility.

The Love Island narrator's series premiered in 2017 and aired for seven seasons, seeing celebrity line-ups take on a team of friends in physical challenges based on skills the stars claimed to possess.

Scarlett Moffatt and Stacey Solomon featured as team captains, while guests of the most recent season included Katherine Ryan, Big Brother presenter Will Best, EastEnders' Danielle Harold, Love Island's Tasha Ghouri, and Emmerdale's Danny Miller.

"There are no current plans for another series," an ITV spokesperson told metro.co.uk.

However, the channel pointed out that Sterling's show has been "very successful" in its 52 episodes.

His Love Island voiceovers aside, Stirling has a few projects on his hands at the moment as he's gearing up to bring his stand-up show Relevant on tour next year.

Meanwhile, he and his wife, former Love Island host Laura Whitmore, have just launched their new BBC Sounds true crime podcast, called Murder They Wrote.

"Expect murder, mayhem, blackmail, betrayal, and more from this true-crime-obsessed couple," the logline for the show reads, with the comedian joking on Instagram: "Many crimes, more accents!"

"If, like us, you're curious about how a honeymoon turned into a horror story, or the curious case of the hitman dentist, then this is the podcast for you," Stirling said. "Join us as we dive right into the past and encounter some of the darkest criminals in history."

"I love the psychology of it all, getting into people's mindsets and finding out what makes them tick," Whitmore added.

The pair previously hosted a podcast called Partners in Crime.

Love Island airs on ITV2 and streams on ITVX. Love Island Games will air on Peacock in the US.
