Love Island Games spoilers follow.

Megan Barton-Hanson has left the Love Island Games due to medical reasons.

The UK Love Island star's exit was announced on Sunday (November 12) night's episode with Ian Stirling confirming that she had withdrawn from the Fiji villa on medical grounds.

While the narrator didn't elaborate on her reasons for leaving, partner Kyra Green mentioned that Megan hadn't been feeling well and that the reality star's illness had impacted their growing connection.

"I'm okay. It's mean definitely upsetting," she said. "Just obviously on different pages and I haven't been really able to get on the same page because she's been sick and out of here."

Following Megan's exit Kyra expressed her surprise at being unable to progress the relationship, adding: "I feel like I'm in shock. I thought she was going to walk in tonight and be like whatever."

While Megan is yet to publicly address her exit from the show, the reality star had opened up about struggling with pelvic inflammatory disease back in September.

"Which of my queens have ever suffered from Pelvic inflammatory disease? I'd never heard of it but think I may have had my first experience," she wrote on her Instagram story (via The Mirror), adding that the condition had left her in "hell."

Earlier in the series Megan and Love Island USA star Kyra became the first same-sex couple of the show after forming a connection with each other. She was previously coupled up with Love Island France's Steph Blackos.

"I want to couple up with this person because, coming into the villa, I feel, right off the bat, I kinda had a genuine connection with them," Kyra said.

"It was just easy to talk to them and felt like something I could see over time turning maybe into something. So the person that I would like to couple up with is... Megan."

Love Island airs on ITV2 and streams on ITVX. Love Island Games airs on Peacock in the US.
